QTL Biosystems is a supplier of amplification technologies for Drug Discovery and HTS. The QTL LIGHTSPEED™ assays ("QTL" stands for "quencher-tether-ligand") couple a quencher molecule with a fluorescent polymer chain. Each quencher alters fluorescence of several hundred fluorophores. The enhanced fluorescent activity of "QTL" enables the end user greater sensitivity, specificity, less time to results, and material cost savings. QTL Biosystems has applied our novel QTL LIGHTSPEED™ technology to Protease and Kinase assays. The QTL Lightspeed technology provides a single-step, instantaneous, homogeneous assay where the amplification step is intrinsic to the fluorescent polymer. The polymer QTL approach provides a system for effective sensing of biological agents by observing fluorescence changes.
