Andrew Lemon joined IDBS in December 2000 as product development manager for chemistry development. He has defined the strategy for IDBS’ Chemistry Technology development, and built the chemistry team. Having formerly been responsible for planning and managing the implementation and roll out of products and technology, Andrew now defines the strategy for new products and manages the IDBS Chemical technology, and predictive science portfolio, working closely with Jonathan Davies on Chemistry Applications. Andrew brings knowledge and experience of design and implementation of cheminformatics solutions and a commitment to excellence of chemical technology and its application to new areas of discovery science.
Prior to joining IDBS, Andrew was an Advisory Scientific programmer at MDL product development, UK where he worked for four years. Before this he was doing post doctorate research at the University of Southampton on Side-chain placement algorithms.
Andrew holds a first degree in Chemistry with Computing from the University of Reading and in 1994 he gained his doctorate in Computational Chemistry from the University of Bath. Currently, Andrew is a member of the American Chemical Society.
