Dr Frank Bonner is currently an independent consultant to the Biopharmaceutical and associated industries, and former Director of Science and Technology for Huntingdon Life Sciences. He obtained a BSc degree in Biochemistry and a PhD in Toxicology from the University of Surrey in Guildford, UK. He joined Sterling Winthrop Pharmaceuticals in 1982 to establish a pre-clinical drug safety testing facility, and became senior Director of Toxicology. Following the acquisition of Sterling by Sanofi, he became Scientific Director of the UK Research Centre in Northumberland, a position he held for 3 years before joining Huntingdon in 1997. He is past Chairman of the British Toxicology Society and serves on the Research and Development Committee of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry. He is also Non-Executive Chairman of Endocrine Pharmaceuticals, a UK based Biopharmaceutical discovery company.
