Joel Bard obtained his doctorate from Harvard University and,
is currently a senior scientist at Wyeth Research. He undertook post-doctoral
research at Boston Biomedical Research Institute with Dr. Andrew Bohn, and
graduate research at Harvard University with Dr. Ernest G. Peralta. He then
moved to his current position at Wyeth and:
• Crystallized and determined structures of potential drug targets and
compound-target complexes
• Led implementation of robotic systems for automated setup and imaging of
crystallization experiments
• Designed and co-wrote comprehensive software package for design and
management of automated crystallization experiments
• Represented crystallography in a multi-disciplinary effort to express,
purify, and crystallize membrane proteins
